Mobil Delvac XHP Extra 10W-40 is a synthetic engine oil with very high performance properties, created to provide effective lubrication of modern high–power diesel engines operating in heavy-duty mainline and off-road vehicles. This diesel oil is developed with the use of base oils with high characteristics to achieve effective low-temperature fluidity, provide the necessary level of high-temperature viscosity, reduce evaporation and improve fuel efficiency. With these base oils, an advanced additive system is used, which provides a high level of protection for all parts of the engine. Mobil Delvac XHP Extra 10W-40 is designed to provide extended oil change intervals in modern diesel engines.

Powerful diesel engines with low emissions significantly increase the requirements for engine oils. Reducing the working gaps of the engines leads to a decrease in oil consumption and, accordingly, the additive package is refreshed less often. The thermal load on the oil increases in the case of turbocharging and intermediate cooling of the pressurized air. A higher fuel injection pressure and the use of a later injection increase the combustion efficiency, but at the same time the operating temperature of the engine, as well as lead to an increase in oil evaporation losses and the amount of soot particles entering the oil formed during combustion.
